RED DEVILS TAKE THEIR FIRST TWO WINS

Don't have much information on the tournament but Hill Spirit does know that the Elkmont Varsity Red Devils took two wins in the Asbury High School Christmas Tournament.  They lost the first game 56 - 38 to the tournament champions, Collinsville.  Rallying back in the next game, they beat Sand Rock 45 - 42.  Don't have a clue about the third game as far as who or the score but Elkmont fans posted that the Red Devils took two games in the tourney so they did win.  Will update as soon as more information becomes available.

Again Lady Devils, sorry I can't post about your tournament stats.  Haven't been able to find anything yet about your games and no one has sent the Hill Spirit any updates.  



Elkmont varsity teams as well as the JV boys will be traveling to Ardmore, Dec 4.  JV boys start the evening with a 4:30 pm tipoff.

The Alabama - Tennessee Middle School Invitational Tournament was a big success.  The last three games of the night were:

5:45PM Clements Boys vs. Minor Hill Boys 
7:00PM Elkmont Girls vs. South Lincoln Girls
8:15PM Elkmont Boys vs. South Lincoln Boys

The Clements middle school boys played Minor Hill.  Look for more game photos by clicking on link at end of post.





South Lincoln get the win 33 - 26 over the Elkmont Lady Devils.  Appreciate the photos and the score for the evening game.  Hillspirit likes to recognize the girls teams whenever possible.  Elkmont fans please step up and send those scores and photos in.

ELKMONT WINS MORNING NAIL BITER

The final day of the Alabama - Tennessee Middle School Invitational was today.  Great game photos - click on link at bottom of post to see more.

West Limestone played the Minor Hill Lady Cats.  A very strong West Limestone team won big. 



The West Limestone Wildcats followed with a big win of their own against a scrappy Minor Hill team.



Elkmont Red Devils won their game vs Elkton in a nail-biter, 38 -37.  This picture says it all.

RED DEVILS WIN FIRST GAME OF CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT

Elkmont Middle School Red Devils won their first game of the 2012 Alabama - Tennessee Middle School Invitational Tournament.  Held in the old gym, the fans were treated to a big win, 47 - 16 over Minor Hill. More game photos at link below.

The Red Devils will be squaring off with South Lincoln tonight @ 8:15, New Gym.  

Sorry Lady Red Devils, nobody sent in results or pictures for your game.  Hope you won and good luck tonight vs the South Lincoln Lady Eagles. Tipoff: 7 pm, New Gym

MIDDLE SCHOOL GAMES CANCELLED

For the Elkmont basketball fans, there are no Middle School games this Thursday.  They have been cancelled; haven't heard why but assume it is because of all the flu cases.


However, don't forget the Elkmont Middle School Christmas Tournament starts Friday

EAST LIMESTONE TAKE THREE

The Elkmont JV Boys started Tuesday's slate of basketball games against the East Limestone Indians.  They played hard and almost pulled it off but the Indians were able to hold on as the buzzer sounded to beat the JV Red Devils 37 - 33.



The varsity girls lost 61 - 31.  They will be playing Brindlee Mountain in the Asbury Christmas Tournament. 



The Indians were too much for the rebuilding Red Devils.
Elkmont lost 68 - 37.  They will play next in the Asbury Christmas Tournament Dec 27 @ 1:30 vs Collinsville.

ELKMONT SPLITS WITH SOUTH LINCOLN

South Lincoln rolled into Elkmont last night for a middle school game night.  The Lady Devils took a loss 28 - 35.  The Middle School Red Devils added another game to the win column, 38 - 24. 

The games vs Rogers this Thursday have been cancelled (school announcements) The Elkmont Middle School Tournament will be this weekend, Dec. 20 - 21.

MIDDLE SCHOOL WINS BIG

The Elkmont Middle School basketball teams both picked up wins over Minor Hill, Tennessee last night.  The Lady Devils won 32 - 08 and the Red Devils won 53 - 30.  Hope to get some scoring information later today.  Their next games are Dec 17 when South Lincoln comes to the Hill.  Tipoff for the girls is 6 pm

Kyla Powell led the way with 17 points and Jessica Gonder added 10 as Westminster Christian (5-3) won a home game over Elkmont. Nakoto McCurley led Elkmont with nine points.  

BOYS:

Martin Crawford scored 14 points and Andrew Dunn had 11 as Westminster Christian (4-2) held off visiting Elkmont. Elkmont's Bryant Wales led all scorers with 23 points, 21 of which came in the second half.

JV TAKES A WIN

December 4th wasn't kind to the Elkmont Basketball Program as both varsity teams were defeated by West Morgan.  However, all was not lost, the Elkmont JV boys teams beat the West Morgan Rebels, 55 - 46.   Congrads, JV!!!!!!

ELKMONT MIDDLE SCHOOL SPLITS WITH TANNER

Tanner traveled to the Hill, Dec. 3 for a middle school game with the Lady Devils, followed by a match up with the Red Devils.  The Elkmont girls pulled off a great win over the Lady Rattlers 42 - 33.  The Red Devils weren't able to pull off the bookend win over Tanner and lost 57 - 36.  The Middle School teams are doing well this season but Tanner always has tough teams to beat.  A win over Tanner is something to smile about.   The Elkmont Red Devils and Lady Devils will be traveling to Minor Hill, Dec. 6.  Games start at 6 pm.

ARDMORE TAKES THREE IN ONE NIGHT

The Ardmore Tigers came into Elkmont on Friday night and were rude guests.  They beat Elkmont's JV, varsity girls and boys games.  The boys games were within ten so hopefully the Red Devils can return the favor when they travel to Ardmore later this season.
