JANUARY 7 & 8 BASKETBALL NEWS

The Middle School teams traveled to Clements, January 7.  The Red Devils won; our Lady Devils lost in one of those gut wrenching 1 point games.  The Rogers Pirates will cross swords with our teams, January 10 at their place.  Tipoff: 4:30 pm

The JV and varsity games  were moved from Monday for all of us crazy football fans who wanted to watch the National Championship.  A Middle School Boys game was added.  Middle School boys start the games with a 2 pm tipoff.  The JVB will be at 4: 30 pm; followed by varsity girls and varsity boys.

It was great to see the SEC win again. The Hillspirit got tired of hearing how over rated the conference was all year so it was nice to sit back, smile a smug grin and think about how the the "experts" got shown up again.

Madison Academy (always ranked in the state) came to town last night.  It was a rough night for Elkmont basketball.  All three teams lost to the Mustangs.

Elkmont will be hosting Westminister this Friday, January 11.  The JV boys teams will start the night with a tipoff time of 4:30 pm.

As always, there are some great action shots of the games provided by the Elkmont Sports Photographers.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CAGE ARDMORE TIGERS

Both the Red Devils and Lady Devils bagged a Tiger when they met on January 3 for the last time during the regular season.  The middle school county tournament starts in two weeks so time is running out to watch the middle school teams play.

The Lady Devils burned Ardmore 30 - 10.  This is a good example of having your hands in the shooter's face.

Elkmont beat the Tigers in the boys game that followed, 32 - 20
