ELKMONT VS WEST LIMESTONE RESULTS - NOVEMBER 25

All of the Elkmont basketball teams were in action Monday night.  Both of the gym were in use as the West Limestone Wildcats came to the hilltop.  Not all game scores have been reported.

Olivia Blakenship tossed in 12 points as West Limestone cruised past Limestone County rival Elkmont. West Limestone (5-0) opened the game with a 14-4 run and carried an 11-point cushion into halftime.  Kayla Carter finished with 11 points and nine rebounds for West Limestone, while Shelby Clay had 10 points.Brandi Bentley and Amaiea Davis scored six points each to lead Elkmont.

ELKMONT MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS WIN

The Elkmont Middle School teams played at Athens Bible School on Saturday, November 23.  They had been scheduled to play earlier in the week but the games were moved to later in the week.  The Trojans beat our Red Devils.  However, the Middle School Lady Devils came away with another win.

ELKMONT BASKETBALL RESULT - NOVERMBER 19

The Elkmont basketball program had teams playing in two different places November 19.  The Junior Varsity girls were at Athens Bible School shooting it out with the Lady Trogans.  The Middle School games that were scheduled were postponed until Saturday, November 23.  Tipoff for the girls' game is 9 am with the boys following.  The middle school teams will be playing at Elkmont vs Ardmore, November 21. 

The Varsity teams and the Junior varsity boys traveled to the OK corral at Clements to take on the Colts.  All three teams play on Friday, November 22 at Ardmore; always an exciting place to pound the hardwood.

Varsity Boys:  Clements 68, Elkmont 31
Jared Bailey had 10 points in the loss for Elkmont.

Varsity Girls:  Clements 56, Elkmont 41

With two starters out, the Lady Devils couldn't quite make up the difference.  Elkmont will get a rematch with the Lady Trojans, January 9 at Elkmont.

The Elkmont middle school teams and the Junior varsity teams traveled to Rogers, November 18.
The boys middle school score haven't been turned in yet but the Hill Spirit did hear that the boys lost.

The skinny: With a group of players who have been labeled as "coachable and determined" by new coach Jason Wright, Elkmont has its sights set on a turnaround season. Senior guard Rhett Bailey is a gifted athlete who gives the Red Devils lineup as a boost, and Trevor Patterson is a player to keep an eye on. But Elkmont, and its young team, have a tough path to the postseason, with Madison Academy and West Morgan both in Area 15.
