In four weeks, thoughts will turn to the spring sports. Youth baseball signups are normally the first few weeks in February. Basketball season is starting to wrap up here at the Hilltop. Our young Red Devils and Lady Devils have had a successful season and still have a few weeks left. Here are the results from today's games, January 17.
5 & 6 Coed
Elkmont 1 hold Blue Springs 2 to one point, 18-1
Elkmont 2 lost by one to Ardmore 1, 6-5
Elkmont 3 are now 7-1 after beating Ardmore 3, 4-3
7&8 Boys
Elkmont 1 beat West Limestone #3, 22-6. Bryson Miller, Corder Hobbs and Andrew Jackson led the way with 6 points a piece each. Curtis Hobbs and Cole Holt contributed 2 points a piece to the winning effort.
In its second game of the day, Elkmont 1 burned Blue Springs, 24-2. Tavien Jackson and Curtis Hobbs had 6 points a piece. Bryson Miller and Andrew Jackson had 4 points followed by Cole Holt's 2 points, Corder Hobbs and Will Fleming each threw in 1 point a piece.
Elkmont 2 boys got the win over Owens 2, 22-10
7&8 Girls
With an undefeated record, Elkmont 1 beat Johnson, 12-3
9 & 10 Boys
Elkmont 1 - Bye Week
Elkmont 2 won against Ardmore 1, 34-27. It was a nail biter! Mykell Murrah and Mason Burns had 10 points each. Connor Newton had 6 points and Ian Burroughs added 4 points more. Kaden Jackson and Jack Thomas finished up the scoring with 2 points each. Colby Bradfiel contributed numerous assists to the Elkmont scoring effort.
9 & 10 Girls
