The Varsity Red Devils opened their season with an overtime lost to the Indians. The Red Devils burned the nets up with 11 3 pointers to East's 6. However, Elkmont wasn't able to control the paint as the Indians scored 30 points to the Red Devils 18 points. The difference in the game was the free throw situation. Elkmont couldn't overcome the extra 18 free throw attempts awarded to East. Brights spots for our Red Devils are we evidently have some good outside shooters and 70% from the free throw line in this day and age is good. Lack of height will make the inside game more of a challenge. Eight players on the roster will limit how aggressive we can be on the defensive end.
