Brady Garris hit a 3-pointer with just over a minute to play to give Elkmont the lead once and for all at the Elkmont Christmas Tournament Tuesday. Garris then hit two of three free-throw attempts in the final minutes to give Elkmont a 59-53 victory over Lindsay Lane.
Garris' 3-pointer gave the Red Devils a 54-53 lead and Chance Bailey converted a couple of fast-break opportunities to put the game away. Bailey led Elkmont with 16 points while Garris added 11.
The teams went to halftime tied at 28 and LLCA led 47-43 after three quarters. Eighth-grader Tommy Murr scored a game-high 18 points for the Lions.
