OVERTIME WIN FOR ELKMONT BOYS JV

Tuesday, the East Lawrence Eagles were on the Elkmont slate.  The Red Devils JV team
were able to turn lemons into lemonade in a big overtime win.  The Red Devils were at the line shooting free throws with less than two seconds on the clock.  It was a one and one situation with a lot of the line.  The ball bounced of the rim and it wasn't looking good for the Red Devils.  Braden Miller grabbed the rebound and powered it up to score. With 1.4 seconds left, the Lions weren't able to score and Elkmont won 42 - 40.

Christian Bolden scored 26 points and had seven assists as East Lawrence closed area play with a big win over Elkmont.

The Lady Eagles, who finished area play with a 4-2 record and will be the second seed in the area tournament. Amelia Davis led Elkmont with nine points.
