RED DEVILS SEAL SEASON AREA CHAMPIONSHIP

The Elkmont Red Devils won the season Area 15 Championship with Tuesday's win over Danville.  This will give them top seeding and the right to host the Area 15 Tournament.  The Devils will play Danville in the first round and West Morgan will play Clements.  The winner of each game will play in the Area Championship and have a berth in the Sub-State playoffs.

The Red Devils came out focused and on their game in the first quarter.  They played well, raced down the floor and defensively shut the Danville Hawks down.  Elkmont scored 20 points by the end of the quarter.
The second quarter was a step down from the outstanding effort in the first quarter.  The second half got progressively worse and Elkmont ended the game with a disappointing score  of 50 - 40.  Cole Glass was the only Red Devil to score in double digits with 20 points, 18 of those in the first half. However, with an Area Championship in their pocket, the Danville win was still a highpoint to their season as their overall record climbed to 12-5.
