RED DEVILS DROP FINAL GAME OF CHRISTMAS TOURNEY

The Red Devils lost to the host team, the Seymour Eagles (approx. 1200 students),  49- 46.  This game has very little to write about.
The Red Devils should have won this game but ...


 1.   Game style was slow - never good for this Elkmont team


 2.   Players played with little pep


 3.   Cole Glass was out of the game more than in


 4.   Wasted a 6 point lead at half with horrible 3rd quarter scoring - it took them 5 minutes to score 2 points and only finished the quarter with 32 points, only 5 points more than the halftime score of 27.


5.    Free throw percentage was a dismal 47 %




Good things:
1. Even though the team was less than energetic,  Elkmont was still in the game at the end and could have tied it if the last second 3 point shot had gone in.


2. Matthew Barnes had his best game of the season


3. Hayden Huseth made the all tournament team




Looking forward to Tuesday's game at Clements - This is an important game that will put the Elkmont Red Devils in the driver's seat for area tourney seeding if they beat the Colts.  Hope a big crowd, especially the "Crew, will travel to Clements for the game.
